    KIA/Samsung: Yang Hyun-jong goes 6.2 for KIA, giving up 5 hits, 3 home runs, 10 strike outs, 3 earned runs and gets the no-decision.  Lerew blows the save and takes the loss.  Bae Young-soo started for Samsung and went 6.2 innings, giving up 6 hits, 4 walks, 4 strike outs, 3 earned runs and also the no-decision.  Kim Hee-gul gets the win for Samsung.  Kim Sang-soo hit 2 home runs and Choi Hyung-woo hit one for Samsung, Lee Bum-ho and Na Ji-whan for KIA.   There was a controversial play in the 9th inning that led to KIA's demise (see below).  Instead of being the final out of the game, the umpire misses the call and calls the runner safe...who later scores the tying run and Samsung ends up winning on a walk-off single.

    Doosan/NC: Olson goes 6 innings for Doosan, giving up 6 hits, 4 walks, 1 home run, 8 strike outs, 5 runs, 4 earned runs, but gets the no-decision.  Jung Jae-hoon gets the win and Hong Sang-sam the save for Doosan.  Hacker goes 4 innings, giving up 6 hits, 2 walks, 2 home runs, 4 strike outs, 4 earned runs but takes the no-decision as well.  Im Chang-min takes the loss for NC.  Oh Jae-won and Lee Won-suk hit home runs for Doosan, Na Sung-beom for NC.

    SK/LG: Kim Kwang-hyun goes 5.2 innings, giving up 4 hits, 3 walks, 5 strike outs, 1 earned run and gets the win.  Park Hee-soo the save.  Liz goes 6 for LG, giving up 7 hits, 1 walk, 7 strike outs, 2 earned runs and takes the loss for LG.

    Nexen/Hanwha: Bautista goes only 2.2 innings, giving up 5 hits, 2 strike outs, 4 earned runs but gets the no-decision.  Song Chang-hyun gets the hold and Shong Chang-sik the save for Hanwha as they score 2 in the 7th to win the game.  Kim Young-min goes 5 innings for Nexen, giving up 8 hits, 6 strike outs, 6 earned runs but gets the no-decision.  Song Shin-young takes the loss for Nexen.  Ko Dong-jin hit a home run for Hanwha.

  • KBO commissioner Koo Bon-neung, threw out the 1st pitch at the Yankees game on Thursday.  AP
